Montana state University, how it all started.
With the start of the new semester this week, I figured this would be a good time to talk about Montana State University and how this prestigious university came about. On February 16, 1893, the Agricultural College of Montana was born. It was founded as the state’s land-grant college and was soon renamed the Montana College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts. On a shorter note, it was called MAC. In 1920, it was renamed Montana State College and remained that name until 1965. Then, during the ninth legislative assembly of the state of Montana, it was named Montana State University because of the extensive advances to scientific and humanistic research. Today, it is one of the top colleges in the nation and their website gives a detailed account of their history by the decades. If you are interested in learning more about MSU, I have provided a link at the bottom of this page. For 125 years, Montana State University has been a nation renowned college for location, degree quality and value, and ranks.
