Gold Rush

Montana State University is one of the most prestigious universities in Montana!  As a new school year has begun, new and exciting adventures will take place!  In a later post, I will talk about the university itself, but this week I want to talk about the infamous 16-year tradition known as the Gold Rush!  This is MSU’s first home game and is one of the most anticipated of the year.  This year, on September 2nd, the Bobcats will face off against Utah Tech at Bobcat Stadium.  Last year, the Montana State Bobcats made it to the Semi-Finals for football.  It is called the Gold Rush because the university encourages the fans to fill the stadium with a sea of gold.  Limited Edition t-shirts are sold every year at the bookstore and Universal athletic stores!  A new design is created each calendar year to let fans proclaim their bobcat pride!  This year, they did a design contest and this year’s design was voted on by the community!  

 If you have decided to join us in Bozeman for the Gold Rush, there are a lot of other activities going on that week!  In addition to Labor Day being that Monday, this is the perfect weekend to get out of the house!  Montana is a beautiful place with lots of opportunities to check out the great outdoors!  Let our team at Yellowstone Rent a Car get you to your family activities!  Whether you are deciding to attend MSU or are just an avid Bobcat fan, Gold Rush weekend is fun for everyone!
