Gold Rush

Montana State University, listed the #1 University in Montana by Forbes Magazine is one of the most prestigious universities!  In a later post, I will talk about the university itself, but this week I want to talk about the infamous 15 year tradition known as the Gold Rush!  This is MSU’s first home game and is one of the most anticipated of the year.  This year, on september 3rd, the Bobcats will face off against the McNeese State Cowboys at Bobcat Stadium.  Last year, the Montana State Bobcats were the Reserve National Champions for football.  It is called the Gold Rush because the university encourages the fans to fill the stadium in a sea of gold.  Limited Edition t-shirts are sold every year at the bookstore and Universal athletic stores!  A new design is created each calendar year to let fans proclaim their bobcat pride!  

If you have decided to join us in Bozeman for Gold Rush, there are a lot of other activities going on that week!  In addition to Labor Day being that Monday, this is the perfect weekend to get out of the house!  Let our team at get you to your family activities!  In addition, Yellowstone Rent a Car is giving 15% off car rentals to families of MSU students when they come to town!
